Choose Joy!

"These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full." John 15:11

I know it is difficult to speak of joy right now. I get it. Where is joy in people becoming ill? In supplies low, spirits lower, and uncertainty lurking around every corner?

John 15:11 comes after Jesus talks about being connected to God, His love, and bearing good fruit.

We must maintain a heaven-height view of our journeys; remembering we are  part of a much bigger battle being waged in heavenly places.

Think about, name one thing or one person you have lost thus far in the pandemic. It is important to name our losses and process through the resulting grief. God cares about the losses (Psalm 58:8). But He wants you and I to remember that we have a reason to choose joy. Being connected to Him, embracing relationship with Him means the losses we experience are temporary!

"Our circumstances may be bleak but we can choose our perspective".

Listen to the song below. Then grab hold of your hope (confident expectation) and choose joy! Who knows but what your joy could foster hope in those you encounter!
